PCS members have voted in favour of fighting for jobs, pensions and pay and will be taking strike action on 30th June. The National Union of Teachers, the Association of Teachers and Lecturers and the University and College Union will join forces with us to make this the biggest protest against government cuts so far.
There will be a rally for members of all unions involved, as well as the general public, at the Guildhall from 11.00am. More information on this event nearer the time.
This is biggest battle PCS members have ever faced. None of us can easily afford to lose a day's pay. But a day's pay is nothing compared what we will lose if we don't take action.
Everyone that crosses the picket line is in effect saying they agree with working longer, paying more and getting less. But more than that they are saying that they are happy for their colleagues to be worse off.
Join us on the 30th June. Together we will win.
